We had a fantastic vacation Hawaiian cruise. We visited 3 ilands in 6 days.  It was warm and green and sunny.  Here are some pictures.

Snow Day

We got snow! About two inches. By the next morning it was raining and the snow was melting fast so I took this picture before I went to work.

Thanksgiving

We enjoyed Thanksgiving with family. We had turkey and other delicious food including bosenberry pie. The next day we did a little shopping, later we went for a hike. Here is a picture of Frank with Kayla on his shoulders.

Vacation?

Pam spent 5 1/2 weeks aboard the USNS Comfort. The Comfort is a navy hospital ship. She was part of Comtinuing Promise 2011 and was a volunteer for LDS Charities. She traveled to Jamacia, Peru and Ecuador. It was Challenging and rewarding. Enjoy the pictures.

Pam is leaving tomorrow for 5 weeks. She will part a humanitarian project with her church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) and the US Navy. She will be living on the USNS Comfort. Helping with surgery in Jamaca, Peru and Ecador. I am excited but also anxious. I may actually see something like this. It is not a pleasure cruise, I will be working the whole time

We went to Utah for Thanksgiving. There was snow. It was cold. The scarf that Jeff brought back from Peru kept me warm. We met Erin's parents Kent and Kay Simmons. We also got to go to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Broadcast sunday morning which was great.

What havwe we been doing? We carved pumpkins and
roasted the pumpkins seeds. We walk to church when it is
sunny. We painted our office (Sarah old bedroom) a light
grayish blue. We harvested lots of good stuff from our garden
including corn, tomaotes, lettuce, spinach, cucumbers, and
kohlrabi.

Jeff got engaged to a wonderful lady named Erin. And my grandson Jared turned 3.

Steven got married July 10th. It was a great day.

In the last 2 months lost of stuff has happened. Russell graduated from The University of Washington with a Masters degree in Accounting. WOW! We are really proud of him. He has already take all four parts of the CPA exams and passed 3 of them with excellent grades. The fourth he does not know about. yet. He has started his job with Bader-Martin in Seattle and Casey and Russell bought a home in Lynnwood Washington. Here's pictures.

Matt's Wedding

We went to Houston for Matt and Mandy's wedding. It was wonderful. Matt is a lucky man. The wedding was on Friday May 28th at the Houston LDS Temple. The reception was in Katy Texas and it was beautiful. Our entire family was able to attend.

Our son Steven got engaged! He took his girlfriend Raime to Multnomah Falls and proposed. He gave her a lovely ring. Raime was completely surprized. The big day is July 10th 2010. Yes, that means we will have two weddings this summer. It will be great.

SURPRISE! Matt is engaged. He is getting married on May 28, 2010 in Houston Texas. His fiance is Amanda. Pam went to Texas last week to meet her. Amanda is deligthful. Matt is a lucky man.

We enjoyed the holiday season this year. We had all our children together for one day. This picture was taken on that day December 26th 2009. We think we all look pretty good. Believe it or not this picture was taken in our garage by our talented son-in-law Nathan.

Orcas Island Anniversary Trip

We celebrated our 31st anniversary by taking a trip by ferry to Orcas Island, Washington. Orcas Island is one of the San Juan Islands. We took our bikes and went biking. We loved the view from Mt Constitution, we could see for miles and miles. We stayed in a cabin in a place called Doe Bay. We did see lots of very tame deer during our stay. If you want a quiet vacation in beautiful surroundings we recommend it highly.
